Artist Alley
Artist Alley will be a Discord channel consisting of posts sharing information about various fan artists in the community who sell commissions or other fan-made merchandise. This is open to anyone who creates digital or physical OFMD themed items.Fanwork Gallery
The Fanwork Gallery with be a Discord channel with images and credit for those who want to share a specific Fanwork they have created. This is not judged or rated in any way. As long as a Fanwork meets our submission conditions (outlined here) , it will be on display. Think of it as being able to walk along a gallery, but here you’ll be scrolling!Fanfiction Showcase
The Fanfiction Showcase is to allow fanfiction writers and podficcers to advertise their works. Submissions will consist of a small bio, description of the types of work you create, and where to find you. This will all be shared in a Discord channel where a user can find new fanfictions to consume. This is not judged or rated in any way.Panels
We will be accepting applications for panels held throughout the weekend. Panels will be scheduled in 1 hour blocks, and we ask for a minimum of 30 minutes of material. These can be entirely voice or have a visual presentation accompanying it. Due to time restraints we will be reviewing panel submissions and deciding which panels we will be moving forward with closer to the event. Not all panels will be accepted, but we appreciate every entry! Additionally the panels must comply with our submission guidelines (outlined here) .Drag Show
Our Drag Show will consist of pre-recorded clips of Drag numbers by the fandom. Previously performed recordings or new ones are both acceptable. The show will be streamed multiple times throughout Act of Grace to allow for attendees from various timezones to attend and enjoy. This is not judged or rated in any way.Cosplay Runway
The Cosplay runway will be a Discord channel of submitted images or videos of Cosplays. Attendees can show off their OFMD cosplays and show what they would wear if Act of Grace was physically occurring. This is not judged or rated in any way. Submitting to the Cosplay Runway does not enter you in the Cosplay Contest. We ask that all cosplay content be SFW.Cosplay Contest
The cosplay contest will be a community voted contest with multiple categories for types of Cosplays. The winners will be given an Act of Grace goodie bag. We ask that all cosplay content be SFW.Printables
We will be creating various fun print at home goodies for those attending Act of Grace including a badge, badge ribbons, and bookmarks. To simulate the sharing aspect of the OFMD fandom at conventions, we have a submission form for people to send in their designs for badge ribbons or bookmarks that will be added to a PDF at the event and made shareable to all attendees. You can then print and cut whatever ribbons or bookmarks you desire as your merch for the weekend. This is not judged or rated in any way. As long as the design meets our submission conditions (outlined here) it will be added to our PDF.Meetups (Forms coming later)
We will have a way to suggest or request specific meetups at the event. This will consist of different areas of the Discord where like-minded fans can meet and make new friends. This will be explained in more detail closer to the event.

Egyptianizing Our Flag Means Death (18+)
Briana merges career and hobby by making fan art of characters and scenes from Our Flag Means Death drawn in ancient Egyptian art style. This lecture showcases that art as well as explains real ancient Egyptian inspirations for the artworks. This is a fun, informal lesson in art history and hieroglyphs from an Egyptologist! A link to a free raffle will be provided at the end of the presentation.

The really real world: visual special effects and genre in Our Flag Means Death
In 2025 I conducted a survey asking people who had seen Our Flag Means Death about their enjoyment of the series and how visual special effects (SFX), specifically virtual production (VP), factored into their experience. I hypothesised that the illusion of realism potentially created by VP and the invisibility of those SFX would contribute to audience enjoyment. And they did, to an extent, but there was also a lot of evidence that, for a show like OFMD, realism isn’t as important as immersion in the story, connection to the characters, and appreciation for artistic decision-making. In this panel I will talk about how the viewers I surveyed reacted to OFMD, how they described the aspects of the series that led to their enjoyment of it (or not), how this connects to the genre play involved in a “workplace comedy about pirates”, and what this may tell us about the relationship between technology and realism in wider screen production.
